Bahara Hamidi, BA, MA, RP (Clinical Director)

Bahara brings valuable experience from her work at The Royal Ottawa Hospital, where she supported clients with severe mood disorders, and from Jewish Family Services, where she worked with newcomers. Additionally, she has over four years of experience as a Diversity and Inclusion Analyst for the Government of Canada, advocating for employment equity groups, including Indigenous peoples, racialized individuals, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, by working on policy changes to support overall employee well-being and foster a culture of inclusion. Bahara believes that the therapeutic alliance is the most important catalyst for change in therapy. With this in mind, she strives to create an open and nurturing environment that empowers her clients to reach their full potential and build a more purposeful life. She takes a relaxed, collaborative, and structured approach to help clients set and achieve their therapeutic goals. ​ Her therapeutic orientations include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MCBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
